Cityscapes: Watercolour for Beginners

Spend a delightful day immersed in the vibrant world of watercolour with Sunil Kalbandi.

All materials are provided, so you can simply relax, create, and take home at least three of your very own paintings – paintings you'll be proud to display! No prior experience needed – just a love for colour and a desire to explore!

Join our immersive six-hour watercolour workshop designed to help you master painting three distinct cityscapes. We'll begin with a quick theory session focused on colour mixing, essential urban techniques, and creating atmosphere with washes and dramatic value contrasts.

The key to compelling cityscapes is structure, so you will learn how to simplify drawing buildings, streets, and perspective before we move to paint.

You will master painting any urban scene using my signature 4-step Process. Through 2-3 step-by-step demonstrations, you will learn all the core techniques to capture the energy and light of the city.

The majority of the time is for hands-on painting, where you'll create three beautiful cityscape pieces with personalized guidance. This beginner-friendly course requires no prior drawing experience and adapts to all skill levels. Expect ad hoc reviews and helpful pointers, aiming for you to learn essential techniques and take home paintings you'll be proud of.

• Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for painting.
• This is a six-hour workshop, including short breaks.
• Lunch is not provided, however there is a cafe on the premises.
• Plenty of parking is available at the venue.
