Times: Mon to Sat 10am – 5pm, Sun 10am – 4pm

Prices: Free

Venue: Apex Gallery

Returning to adorn the walls of The Apex this spring is the work of well-known Suffolk sign writer and lettering artist, Wayne Tanswell.

This is Wayne's sixth solo exhibition and is a completely new series of paintings consisting of overlapped oxymorons painted directly on onto oriented strand board with whacky and blended colours.

Words will rise and fall and overlap each other, highlighted in contrasting colours, all painted by Wayne's highly skilful and practiced hand.

Wayne has been a lettering artist since 1980 and his work has taken him all over the UK and abroad including Africa, Bahrain, Spain, Holland and Belgium.

He's also published five books on hand lettering and teaches the art of traditional sign writing from his Suffolk studio and Central St Martins in London.

Wayne's new work will delight fans of his previous exhibition here at The Apex, Writing Wrongs, as well as those enjoying his art of the first time.

Opening hours:
Mondays to Saturdays - 10am-5pm
Sundays - 10am-4pm

Occasionally, the art gallery is closed to the public. If you are travelling specifically to see an exhibition, please call the Box office on 01284 758000 before your visit.
