In the Sticks

A life-long passion for football and a need to connect with the new community in which he now lives suggested a focus for photographer, Geoff Price, when he moved to Clare last year.

He wanted to celebrate something local, and in so doing, highlighted that in our ‘ordinary lives’, where a Saturday League bunch of lads play in remote, rural places, ‘everything happens’.

Geoff found that drama and heroics played out week-by-week as intensely as in any coverage of the Premier League by the Sunday newspapers. 

‘In the Sticks’ is his resulting photographic documentary of an occasionally turbulent but ultimately successful journey through a challenging season for Clare Town Football Club.
 
This is a stunning exhibition that will appeal to a much broader audience than just football fans.

Monday to Saturday - 10am-5pm
Sundays - 10am-4pm

The Apex Gallery is situated on the first floor. Drinks bought from Aspretto in the foyer can be taken upstairs, so feel free to relax on the sofas with a drink and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
