Retirement does not come easy for The Searchers. Thus far they have completed no less than three 'final' tours. That was to be it, no more. But Never say Never, has been their motto and only something very special could change their minds. Well, just such a thing has happened.
What do you say when someone invites you to perform at some very high-profile festival dates? A big fat 'YES' is the only answer. So, in order to get match fit once again, a few special live appearances have been arranged including this show at The Apex.
They will perform many of their long list of successes such as
'Sweets For My Sweet',
'Sugar & Spice',
'Needles & Pins',
'What Have They Done To The Rain?',
'Love Potion Number 9',
'Don't Throw Your Love Away', and many more.
Officially named last year as the longest serving pop group in British history they have toured continually over 67 years since choosing the title of the classic 1957
John Wayne movie as a name for their skiffle group. In 1963 they shot to number one in the UK charts with their first single
'Sweets For My Sweet' and the rest is history.
This show gives you one last chance to catch this legendary band and say a final fond farewell.
