Celebrating Music in the East of England

The New Music Generator (NMG) Awards return to The Apex. Now in its 11th year, the event is firmly established in the region’s music calendar.

The NMG Awards is a music awards initiative celebrating the achievements and potential of artists based in East Anglia and plays a key role in developing and encouraging young talent on their initial steps towards a career in music.

With nominations in categories recognising genres as diverse as Folk to Electronic and Pop to Rock the competition attracts an array of original new music from artists across the region. Categories are judged by a panel of music industry professionals from the local scene with an Audience Choice category decided by a public vote.

Previous winners include Ellie Dixon who signed with major label Decca Records in 2022 and Gaffa Tape Sandy who have performed at Glastonbury, Latitude and across Europe.
