Event details

Formed in 2015 by three friends with a desire to do something loud and exciting, Gaffa Tape Sandy’s popularity quickly escalated thanks to a series of incendiary live shows and a seemingly endless succession of instantly memorable garage-punk/rock tunes.

Their debut EP lead to them performing at Glastonbury Festival and dates across Europe. 2024 sees the band release their highly anticipated album ‘Hold My Hand, God Damn It’ (available to pre-order now) and to celebrate, they will headline The Apex in their hometown for the very first time.

The Bury St Edmunds outfit's brand of giddily frantic, high-octane hyper rock 'n' roll has landed them support slots with the likes of IDLES, Peace and Indoor Pets.

They will be joined by very special guests Pet Needs, whose new album 'Intermittent Fast Living' smashed into the UK Top 20 (outselling the likes of Taylor Swift and Green Day). Like Gaffa Tape Sandy, Pet Needs have taken their high-energy, positive punk thrills worldwide, with a string of incredible releases and high-profile supports (Frank Turner, Flogging Molly, The Hives, The Bouncing Souls) and a string of explosive releases on game-changing punk label Xtra Mile.

Opening up the show is a breathtakingly brilliant double-whammy one-two of enormo-tune wowzerness: stadium-slaying alt-pop perfectionist Gabby Rivers and math-punk wizards Slughouse.
