The first Bury St Edmunds Blues, Rhythm & Rock Festival to be held at The Apex.

Headline Act - Nine Below Zero
Nine Below Zero have developed a reputation as one of the best blues bands in the country.

They have toured with the likes of Sting, Ray Davies and Brian May and worked with Chuck Berry and Jools Holland. The new eight-piece line-up has also enjoyed a 30-date UK tour and hugely successful set at Glastonbury.

Stevie Nimmo Trio
As one half of Scotland’s highly respected Nimmo Brothers, Stevie Nimmo has been a well known and respected figure throughout the blues and roots world for over 2 decades.

Stevie is in full stride with his full-on, electric, no-holds-barred trio format.

Lee Ainley’s Blues Storm
This musical powerhouse brings you original tracks with sounds firmly rooted in blues history. The unique vocal pairing of Lee Ainley and Tori Mai showcases tight harmonies wrought from close family bonds and a solid musical pedigree.

On lead guitar is the raw edgy Elliot Young. The engine of the rhythm section growls along with the skilful David Atkin on drums. Locking in with David is patriarch Nat Ainley on bass.

Southbound
This upcoming blues-rock band are kicking up quite a storm. Bringing an exclusive take on British blues, audiences are enthralled by the unique sounds and grooves that the band create on stage.

With inspirations drawing from blues, rock, jazz, funk and soul, Tom (vocals), Elliot (rhythm and lead guitar), Jordan (rhythm and lead guitar), Dan (bass) and Aaron (drums) each bring something distinctive to the table. It could be argued that their material, both in theme and performance, could only derive from a veteran of the music industry, however, this can be accredited to their hard work and passion for music.

Mojo Preachers
Prepare to be moved, funked, rocked and irresistibly haunted with motive and authentic progressive blues.

Their repertoire spans fusion blues, psychedelic swamp, funk, rock and more; far from conventional and hard to pigeonhole. Delivering strong narratives dripping with an intense poetic, raw mojo vibe their style dares to wander off the beaten path.

Connor Selby Band
Connor Selby takes inspiration from the likes of Eric Clapton, Paul Kossoff, Gary Moore and BB King and although blues based guitar music has been his most prominent style, Connor's musical taste extends to folk, soul, R&B, soul and Country and Western.

Selby and his band are busy gigging and have been offered a recording contract with 3Ms Music and are scheduled to record their debut album in July.

Zal Cleminson’s Sin Dogs
Zal is widely respected for his work with The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, providing incendiary guitar and writing on seminal albums such as Next, Framed and The Impossible Dream.

Zal also played guitar in Nazareth for several years and worked as a session musician, touring with Elkie Brooks, Bonnie Tyler and Midge Ure.
