Event details

A band showcase featuring five of the area’s most exciting up-and-coming bands...

Golden Bantic, Tom Lumley, Enterlude, Saving Scarlett and Kelodown.

Golden Bantic are a five piece indie pop ‘project’ from Cambridgeshire, hotly tipped by BBC Introducing and already playing shows across East Anglia and the capital.

Tom Lumley is an indie singer/songwriter from Cambridge. He has performed at popular venues across the UK supporting the likes of The Hunna, Coasts, The Sherlocks and Airways. His debut EP ‘Dream City’ charted at Number Two in the UK iTunes Rock chart.

Bury St Edmunds' own Enterlude were one of the stand out bands in the heats of BurySOUND 2018 and have since gone on to support rapidly up-and-coming singer/songwriter Bessie Turner. Formed in 2015, this five-piece cite The Killers and The Strokes amongst their influences and can't wait to take to The Apex stage.

Hailing from the dark undergrowth of Haverhill, the seeds were set for Saving Scarlett in early 2015 with a conversational exchange between two strangers over the internet – one with dynamic guitar hooks to play and the other with a host of intense, emotional lyrics to unleash. Dave Johnson and Lisa Francis’ chance online meeting was unbeknownst at the time, the start of a formidable and fierce enterprise. The duo are now joined by guitarist Rico Shepherd, drummer Adam Cheverton and bassist Dave Brittain.

Kelodown return to rock The Apex once more, having made the final of BurySOUND earlier in the year. The group, formed from students at West Suffolk College are led by vocalist Jasmine Canham and deliver punchy riffs and energy by the bucket load. They’re raucous rock and roll at its most unrefined.
