Event details

Small band, huge swing!

Blues-drenched sounds of clarinet-driven 1920s New Orleans jazz with London's hard-swinging vintage jazz band.

The Dime Notes have unearthed a repertoire of hot swinging jazz, stomps, blueses, and forgotten gems of the era by musicians such as Jelly Roll Morton and James P Johnson.

Featuring Chris Barber’s long-time clarinettist David Horniblow, U.S pianist and Morton specialist Andrew Oliver, and the unstoppable pulse of London’s knockout rhythm section, guitarist Dave Kelbie of Evan Christopher’s Django a la Creole fame, and bassist Tom Wheatley.

"Lovingly curated examples of great music from the ancestral repertoire of jazz" - Jazz Da Gama (US)

"Swings from start to finish" - Just Jazz (UK)

Starts: 1pm
Tickets: Standard £9, Under 25s £5, £2 discount off top price band for Festival Friends, purchase ten or more tickets in one transaction and save £1 per ticket
